About the Artist

I'm Claire, an artist based in Hook, Hampshire, specialising in wildlife. My work is about capturing the unique characters of the subjects I portray. I enjoy blending realism with abstract elements, creating visual contrast that offers a fresh perspective on each creature. This approach allows viewers to see familiar subjects in a new light and, hopefully, connect with them in a meaningful way.

Although I work with various mediums, including oil, acrylic, and pastel, I frequently return to the simplicity of graphite and charcoal. These classic tools allow me to concentrate on the fundamentals of drawing, enabling me to continuously refine and develop my core skills.
